Jerry Cignarella has been promoted to the position of President of Polar Service Centers, replacing Mike Besson who has left the Company to pursue other interests. I would like to take this opportunity to thank Mike for his contributions over the past few months.
Jerry has been tasked with improving operational and financial performance of the organization through continued focus on improving employee safety, technician efficiencies, parts inventory optimization, as well as product and service profit margins. A most of the employees at PSC know, Jerry has been instrumental in these ongoing efforts.
Jerry joined PSC in March of 2012 as a Regional General Manager with a focus on moving Cherry Hill from a Parts only sales location into a full service trailer center acquisition of land and building a brand new service center on a green-field site. Later he was promoted to Vice President concurrent with the Beall acquisition and worked to bring the Northeast and Montana Beall stores online as well as building two more green-field sites in the Bakken region of North Dakota. Most recently, Jerry was promoted to Senior Vice President over all service centers in the Northeast and Midwest.
Prior to joining PSC, he worked at Cummins for 15 years as a General Manager over the transit business segment as well as spending 10 years at Motor Coach Industries as the Vice President of Sales and Service. Jerry, his wife Christine and his daughter Sophia, reside in Jackson, NJ.
